How do I buy a ticket?
Identify your vehicle
Registration number and vehicle data shown on the registration certificate.
Choose your journey
The sections of the ECPL network you will be using.
Check the amount
The tax is calculated before payment. Check it before confirming.
Pay and receive your ticket
The ticket is issued immediately and linked to the registration number entered.
What you need
Have the following to hand before you start:
- the vehicle's registration number
- its registration certificate, for the category, weight, Euro class and CO2 class
- a bank card or a fuel card for payment
- the route you intend to take on the network
The registration number cannot be changed after purchase, as it is what is read during checks. Enter it carefully.
Payment methods
- Bank card and fuel card
- The main cards are accepted. The full amount is charged at the time of purchase.
- Payment security
- Payment is made via a secure connection. Card data are processed by the payment service provider and never stored by the ECPL service.
- Receipt
- A receipt is issued with the ticket and can be downloaded again at any time.
- Payment declined
- No ticket is issued if the payment does not go through, which means you are not covered. Check with your bank and buy again.
Validity and use
- When to buy
- Before driving on the network. A ticket bought after a check does not cover the journey already made.
- What it covers
- The route and validity period chosen at purchase, for the registration number entered.
- One vehicle per ticket
- A ticket is linked to a single registration number. Buy one ticket per vehicle.
Ticket FAQ
Do I need to create an account?
Yes, if you do not have an on-board unit (OBU) supplied by an accredited EETS provider. You need to create an account to register your vehicle, buy your tickets, view your history and manage your journeys. Account creation will be available shortly.
How do I register my vehicle?
When creating your account, simply enter the requested information about your vehicle (registration number, technical characteristics, etc.). Depending on your situation, some supporting documents may be requested. Account creation will be available from [date].
How do I buy a ticket?
Log in to your account and enter your journey and your vehicle's characteristics; the amount is calculated automatically. Then pay for your ticket online by bank card or fuel card before using the taxed network. Account creation will be available shortly.
Can I plan my journey in advance?
Yes. You can buy your ticket before you set off so that you are compliant as soon as you enter the taxed network.
Can I buy a single ticket for several journeys?
No. A ticket corresponds to a specific journey. If you make several separate journeys, a ticket must be bought for each of them.
